How do I get my boss to switch me to work from home parttime?

Hey, so, it’s my first proper job and it’s entrance level customer service. I’ve been working here for less than 2 months. I’d like to know how to approach this if y’all have any advice. I got hired to work fulltime from the office, after starting, the job implemented a one day work from home pilot which we’re currently doing. It’s on an “if you want to” basis. I really like working from home and my ideal work week would be half from home, half from the office (5 day work week). We’re incredibly short staffed so the company decided to start offering work from home to new hires. They work from home 100% of the time other than training.

Thing is, they’re getting paid less than I do and hourly while I get paid monthly and more if you calculate per hour. I also get better conditions overall as well as far as PTO, bonuses, etc.

I asked my boss if there’s a way for me to move to being half of the week from home and she seemed pretty resistant but is checking it out for me.

I was wondering if there’s anything I can do to help things along and put some pressure on them to allow it? Ultimately I’m okay with taking a pay-cut.

My direct boss is overall great but it isn’t up to her personally. I do feel I’m appreciated in the company and they’ve already given me a couple of, like, unofficial “thank you” bonuses for doing the work when we’re so short staffed (about $200s worth) they had no obligation to by contract. And again, this is when I’ve only been there a month and a half. So basically, not looking to burn any bridges, but would like to know if there’s anything I can do.
