I’m getting fired, but I’m not exactly sure when.
I work for pest control. I have my own truck and work very independently.
I noticed an ad on indeed for my job. Since another employee is not needed I’m forced to assume it’s a replacement for myself. I predict they will hire him in secret, train him for a couple weeks, then give him my job.
I just want to ask if/when you guys think I should start stealing from them?
Gas is super expensive but I have a free gas card. I want to start using it on my personal truck but I don’t know if it will affect my two weeks paid off time once they surprise fire me.
Can they fire me without notice or pay in leu of notice if I use the gas card on my personal truck? Do you think they’d catch me/even care? Should I start doing it now so I can fill up a couple times before the new hire come in or just once closer to when I feel like I’m going to get fired?
