So today I was talking to a friend. This person works a full time job and seems to be happy about it. I’m someone who works as a contractor and even though I don’t get paid a lot, I don’t work much and I’m fine with that because I do have the freedom of my time. Also my expenses are very low.
So we were discussing the labor shortage and she told me there is no labor shortage and it’s because people do not want to work. I told her how the truth is most jobs don’t pay enough especially with inflation so it’s like most people prefer to just chill around and enjoy themselves. Then she ask me if I feel everyone should just quit their job like is that the right thing to do. I told her people can do whatever they please. Then she told me well people need to work to pay bills.
My question is how do you all deal with people particularly friends, families, etc who are not Antiwork. Like the people who still believe in the whole “You need to work a 9-5 and climb up the corporate ladder to pay your bills” type of people.
