Hey, guys! I'm about 4 months into my 9-5, and I've been wanting to take 2 weeks off to travel and visit my family. I'm providing them with 6 weeks' notice but I've only accrued abt 32hours of vacation. So do I ask for vacation time where my vacation balance would be negative afterwards, or do I ask for unpaid time off?
Also, I'm most likely not gonna do this but is it better to lie abt the trip being booked? (which is not) or like come up with a more valid reason?
it's my first corporate job and I don't know how these things work, I'm also intending to keep the job for at least a year lol… so pls let me know what you think!
