I got food poisoning from a restaurant outside of work and I can in this morning hoping I would feel okay enough to work. I work for a smaller business and there's never extra people scheduled. I came in and tried working for a few hours but obviously I feel horrible so I talk to my boss.
Asked if any of our part timers were off and posisble wanted to cover some of my shift. No they're all high schoolers and the only other person who works at the same store as me is a the manager and it's her only day off this week (I love this manager and refuse to ask them to come in on their one day off). My boss says they're gonna keep me here and I'm free to run to the bathroom as much as I want. Then they proceeded to tell me I don't like sick or feverish.
Never in my whole life have I legitimately looked sick. I don't know why but when I get sick I just feel it and I barely ever look it.
So now I'm pissed off sick at work and stuck for another almost 7 hours.
