I feel like this sounds stupid, but I'm having a hard time grasping how anyone can be okay with the state of labor in the world.
How do I deal/cope with immense medical debt, student loans, and rent all while making $12 an hour. I'm breaking my back everyday and still by the end of the week I have pennies to my name. I look for new jobs but they all have qualifications I don't meet and can't afford to get. Debt collectors are calling me (for the medical bills) but I have nothing to give them until my paycheck comes in, and then I won't be able to pay for gas to get to work.
It's an endless horrible cycle for me right now where as soon as I have a hundred in savings, I have to spend it as soon as I get it.
Is the answer just to work to survive and never take a vacation, get a tattoo, have a pet, have kids? Never explore, never buy gifts, never buy new clothes? Just suffer until you can't even afford to do nothing?
I'm not trying to fear monger or wallow, my bad. My original point was how do y'all cope with existential dread involving work? How did you find a job that wasn't miserable if you have one? How do you focus on you hobbies when you work full time?
In general, how do I do it? It feels impossible. I'm so stuck right now.
