How do you explain to the recruiter that your expected salary is “reasonable” when they act patronising?

Recently applied for a full-time position. The recruiter asked what's your expected salary and I gave a reasonable number that's WITHIN the company's salary range posted on their job advertisement. He responded in a patronising tone and said that number is usually reserved for candidates with more “experience”. I'm a recent graduate with extensive intern experience and solid tried-and-tested skills in that industry. The number I asked for wasn't even considered high by industry standards by any means. Below that range I'd already be tight on rent and basic living finances. How do you explain convincingly to the recruiter that your qualifications and skills deserve and match the salary number you're offering if they act snobbish like that? Is it common for recruiters to somehow feel extra entitled to act condescending to fresh graduates in particular and neg on their offers?
