How do you transition from entry level to career?

I’ve always been employed all throughout school. So, I know how to get a job. Only thing is, I’ve worked entry level jobs for students. I’m about to graduate desperately applying to all the jobs in my field but never hearing anything back because I’m not qualified. They all want like 6+ years of experience or second and third languages or are paying less than I currently make at my entry level job, and I just don’t see any in between. Where the fuck are the middle jobs? Who is hiring fresh graduates with no experience? Where are people getting all this experience if no one is hiring entry level? I’m genuinely at a loss for how I get my foot in the door for a career job. I can’t get experience if no one hires without experience. It just seems so impossible and it feels like I will be…

I’m genuinely at a loss for how I get my foot in the door for a career job. I can’t get experience if no one hires without experience. It just seems so impossible and it feels like I will be stuck doing food service for the rest of my life (not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it’s obvious that the wages they give us are not livable so I need a career job). What did you guys do? How did you guys get office jobs? Why do they want to make it so fucking impossible?

Edit: just for context, I’m a political science pre law and journalism double major, graduating after this next semester. I’ve applied for all the remote editing/legal/writing jobs in my state, all the in-person editing/legal/writing jobs in my city, and all the jobs at my university’s career center that applies to my majors and/or legal interest. Probably sent out over 50 applications so far this week
