How family companies are so blind

Honestly I don't know how people can be so stupid and ignorant in the upper positions. Im currently working in a warehouse, it was a pretty fun job and I had my complaints but at the end of the day I need the job and It had more positives than negatives, fast forward to 1 year ago we moved to a bigger warehouse since the companies looks like it's doing really well ( I don't even know how ), I could point things that shouldn't even be done ever, our inventory is currently inexistent since we dont do that ever Wich means tons of things keep getting lost everyday but they don't care and the strawberry on the cake Is short staffed. Im currently working in a warehouse, it was a pretty fun job and I had my complaints but at the end of the day I need the job and It had more positives than negatives, fast forward to 1 year ago we moved to a bigger warehouse since the companies looks like it's doing really well ( I don't even know how ), I could point things that shouldn't even be done ever, our inventory is currently inexistent since we dont do that ever Wich means tons of things keep getting lost everyday but they don't care and the strawberry on the cake Is short staffed.

They hired like 10 people now in the past 6 months, we only need 2 of them to stay with us but they keep leaving because of the low wage and the disaster of the company. It's really calm the job at the beginning of the year but we are already taking too much time to do the tasks properly because of the disaster of the inventory and the short staff, ofc they know why people don't stay but barely care and my current boss is leaving to another area so it will get worse from now, probably the new boss will think he can fix everything by himself and make our lives more miserable.

The fun part of all of this is like I said, the job is pretty chill from January to June, with each passing month the demand from the stores is bigger untill 25 of December, those days we need to stay 1 or 2 hours extra and work 6 days a week regularly to cover all of the demand ( and that is with 6 people, we currently are 4 and one of us is going to leave because he doesn't need the hassle for free). We already gave notice the last December that we will not be working extra for that low of a wage and got paid extra but just for that time of the year, we will have to discuss that AGAIN with the new boss, Wich sucks….

It's really fucking simple, make the salary better if you actually want to hire people with good qualities, Wich at the same time gives us time to manage the inventory and clean the half assed warehouse AND as a bonus they keep losing less money because they don't have things disappearing out of nowhere WICH LOSES THEM MONEY…. FFS.

Honestly I hate this fucking job because of them, I enjoy working in a good environment, I can't leave because I'm waiting for my visa, if that wasn't the case they would had 0 employees right now and I can tell they wouldnt even care.
