How I stole over $150k from my old gas station job

I know at first you might think this a really good lie but no, I have legitimately stolen $150k+ from my shitty job and I quit without a trace Context: I worked at a truck stop in a shitty area, we get a lot of customers since we had the cheapest gas and was straight off the freeway. I started off as a maintenance person and worked my way to management in only 6 months due to another manager quitting. My boss was a lazy piece of shit who went on vacation every month for 2 weeks and left the store for dead. Thankfully my coworkers were great except a few drug addicted employees. Everybody I worked with were felons except one girl and me, we ran the whole ship. How did I steal $150k? Easier than you would ever think, since I was management I tried my hardest to…

Easier than you would ever think, since I was management I tried my hardest to meet everybody needs so they could trust me in doing my job. My boss he trusted me as his right hand man I did all the paperwork/interviews/his business emails/money count. We were understaffed incredibly with no raises (I got paid $16) so I took this as a opportunity to approve the raise Myself. For a year straight I would come in 2 HOURS earlier than scheduled, clocked myself in and did absolutely nothing, but it doesn’t stop there; our timesheets were online and my boss trusted the managers to get punches right. I closed everyday M-F, every night I made sure everybody clocked out except me.. i would leave myself clocked in, Every-time. Come in the next morning, sat in the office with paperwork as a façade, the punch system would leave ppl clocked in even after 24hrs and would automatically add a punch in @ 12AM NEXT DAY, I would erase the original punch in and modify it to me punching out 10:30pm (time we closed) but I kept the date as is , the system shits itself and will think you worked an EXTRA 10-12Hrs since you never clocked out. My hours for the week were around 50-70. I did this everyday & nobody ever raised a brow since there was other shit to worry about, My boss? He would call me to make sure I clocked him in to cover his ass. What did I do on my shift? Absolutely nothing I would call my mom for 2-3 hours, watch YouTube for another 2 hours, smoked weed in the back, then just cleaned and closed the store. I did this for a solid year and accumulated over $150k under the company nose all my checks were $800-1.2k every week not even including holidays. my boss moved to Wyoming to manage another store (which I knew months prior so I prepared myself to get a new job by then), I tried sticking it out until our temporary GM made me work weekends, so I quit 🙂
