How I’m not supposed to live.

This November will make it a year of hell for me. My best friend passed away the day after Thanksgiving, my mom passed away in January, I escaped an abusive relationship, and spent time in a mental ward that didn't do jack shit for help. Part of being in the relationship I was in was moving away to another state and leaving a job that I shouldn't have left, coming back to my home state, and changing my living situation. Add a little extra drama with the ex and being in a different place than what I'm used to, and you've got where I'm at as I'm typing this out.

After leaving Wal Mart due to being told that I wasn't doing any work while I was in the middle of doing work, I went to another job where I was let go of in the middle of training due to an inability to remember 5 points of info to use during a phone call (“But WE'RE lIkE a FamIlY hERe!!”) amongst a sea of notes that I'd banged out on Google Keep. After that, I was desperate for work so I took up work at a local factory for a well known pickle company. I thought it'd be decent, but little did I know..

We're supposed to work 10 hours a day. Last night, we were there over 30 minutes past the time we're supposed to get off. We work in a factory that's more than capable of providing air conditioning for its employees, they just don't want to use it. There's no luxury of having a water station there, and we're not allowed to bring in even a water cup that's half the size of a 12 ounce soda can onto the floor. I live in a Southern state, where summers aren't very kind. The supervisors get to spend time in their ivory tower behind their desk in a cool room while the worker drones toil away in misery.

I have a chance to make my life better for my well being, but a fair amount of people on my Facebook friends list are telling me to be grateful and bend over with a smile on my face for what I've got. Well, I'm not going to.

Just because they're unhappy with their situation doesn't mean I have to be. It's time I took control of my life, and made things better instead of worse.

Thank you for listening. I'll get off my soapbox now LOL.
