How is full-time career life different than how you expected it to be when you were young with dreams of your future?

Here’s mine: The routine that you fall into. It becomes very boring very fast. Almost like there’s less freedom. You’re tied to your job. You have a huge obligation that you must stick with and show up for unless you want to risk your income source which means risking your wellbeing. Because of this, things like: moving, vacations, and planning things becomes difficult and stressful. Having less time for the things everyone actually enjoys: hobbies, art, music, hanging with friends, vacations. The expected small talk with coworkers that you may have nothing in common with. It can be draining. The money in your bank account does not make up for the amount of time you’re giving up to your job. You will never get that time back.
