I HATE SALES
There is taboo, there is being polite in public, and there is avoiding the subject of cost. Enough of this dance and beating around the bush.
I HATE TALKING TO SALESPERSONS. THEIR OBJECTIVE IS TO PUSH YOU TO SPEND AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE – BECAUSE THE MORE YOU SPEND THE BETTER IT WILL BE for them. REGARDLESS IF COMISSIONS BASED OR IF NOT, IT STILL INCENTIVIZES TO LOOK GOOD INFRONT OF THE COMPANY AND YOUR SUPERIORS. THIS IS DIRECTLY CONTRASTED BY THE FACT THAT EVERYTHING COSTS SO DAMN MUCH AND YOU ARE A PERSON THAT MIGHT BE POOR JUST TRYING TO MAKE ENDS MEET AND BUY A PRODUCT THAT IS CRUCIAL TO YOUR WELLBEING ( SUCH AS BUYING A BED )
I am sick of this. When someone walks into an establishment with the intent to buy. This is how I beleive the conversation should go, at its core and simplest.
Salesperson: I want you to spend as much money as possible
Customer: I am very poor and can only afford the cheapest available option
Salesperson: Ok – I understand and will forgo all of my weeks and months of training to push you into a sales Funnel. I will cease all of my upsell scripts and techniques immediately, while being recorded on both audio and camera for all of my bosses to see that I made the attempt to upsale you but failed. And this is ok.
Customer: I dont care about any of that, I just want the product for a reasonable price
Salesperson: I am just trying to follow the all of the training, rules, scripts and obey my bosses to make them happy. Thats all I care about is keeping my job.
Customer: We care about very different things.
Bosses: You lost the sale, you're fired. Get out.
