So I made $19.50 at my job and was expected to work 40 hrs a week on average. It’s an outdoor job so every so often the weather will not allow us to work so one week I might work 15hr and the next 50hr. This cause lots of issues budgeting when we get several days of rain in a week. So I bugged to be on salary and I got it. This was after being offered $48000 a year with benefits 40hr/week at a different job. My original boss offered me a position I much rather do and I’d be very happy with for $45000 with expected 45hr/weeks and no benefits. I know the deals not great but can someone help me with math to help me understand it better?
