Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening. I was in the US Army for 5 years. Traveled and did my dues. I recently got a school photography gig just to do something and keep myself busy. The transition from military to civilian jobs is not hard but I understand why it can be difficult for some. While I was in I had amazing leadership that made us take care of ourselves such education, career progression, etc the whole 9. So long story short this photography gig along with other variables, I am starting to realize that many companies prioritize work and not their people. Just the other day I had medical appointments for my puppy that was very much needed and my boss who most likely had a rough time in highschool if you know what I mean wanted me to come in or find a way to make it work. I didn't. They found a replacement. So whats done is done. I was scheduled for today 29 Aug 2-8pm, woke up got ready for class today 9-1150. So my time management is ok. and now boom they change the photography hours to 10-8 just an hour before my class started. Is this a normal thing? Does civilian jobs like this tend to change hours the day of? I'm not trying to be a little baby back bitch but really? Do I prioritize my education or just go to work? Money isn't an issue really. I will be okay since I have Financial Aid and the government pays for my school.
