How to answer the “describe a conflict with a coworker” question during interviews

I hate when this question comes up in interviews. It feels like an invasive question— and moreover I just have no clue what to say. The first thing that comes to mind for me is to talk about a time a coworker was being condescending to me and I talked to him about it and then he said he didn’t it mean it like that and so now it’s resolved I guess and he’s been less condescending since… but idk, I feel like everything I can think either sounds trite or is something I definitely shouldn’t say (e.g., I’m definitely not going to talk about how conflict at work makes me entirely mentally check out for at least a few weeks )
