So I’ve had issues early on in my employment with my company from several call outs. All of them were due to my mental health, and my PTSD. I’ve called out 5 times in the nearly a year of working there.
They don’t know I have PTSD because I feel like they wouldn’t believe me or think I am faking/exaggerating.
Plus I have massive fears of them being mad at me for calling in. Or being perceived as lazy.
I can only work part time due to said mental health complications.
Discussing with my therapist , she said that I don’t have to tell them I have PTSD. But honestly I feel like it would be best to make it known.
Our store is undergoing a massive renovation soon, which means I’ll be working while there’s jackhammers , drills, hammers, and other construction noises and often I get overstimulated/triggered in noisy loud environments. And it severely inhibits my ability to perform efficiently and normally
How do I handle this but also communicate with my employers in case of future issues with my mental health during this renovation?
