How to deal with guilt of wanting to leave a good company in hard times

The company I work at currently is genuinely not bad. They are pretty transparent about profits posted, gave great bonuses in previous years with high profits, are completely remote, give more leaves than industry standard and you can take the leaves any time. More than that, they gave everyone in the company a large sum as financial support when covid first hit and also those with covid or family members with covid could upload bills that weren’t covered by insurance and the company paid them the entire sum. We lost one person to covid and company gave their spouse a job, gave them a large sum (like 20 years of my salary I think) and will cover both his kids education till college. What i mean to say is that, they did seem to care. The company has been hit with a very hard year this year. Not even breaking…

What i mean to say is that, they did seem to care. The company has been hit with a very hard year this year. Not even breaking even. I got a huge promotion this year (which i do not have a degree for but was trusted with based on performance, aptitude and interest expressed) that would’ve gotten me a 30% raise minimum anywhere. I got 11%. I know that i should leave and start applying elsewhere and get paid the industry standard for my role. With this new designation, i have more options for applying to good jobs. But what if the company turns it around? Shouldn’t I stick around to see that? Am I being a sentimental fool?

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Looking for advice as i am going crazy with overthinking.
