Any tips on how to mentally and physically survive the 5 day work week?
I love my job and I often work over 50 hours a week. But i still feel mentally exhausted by like Thursday night. I try my best to push myself and not give up. But getting ready everyday, driving to work and working like 10 hours a day and then Driving home seem to take its toll.
I know people are going to say : be thankful , back in the day we had to work 6 days a week and 12 hours a day.
But when the 5 day work week came out 100 or whatever years ago, women stayed at home and took care of it.
Now both genders work full time but we still have to work 5 days.
What are people doing to become stronger mentally and physically? Am i missing something. Is there something i can eat or drink to not feel mentally exhausted by thursday night.
Does anyone feel the same way or is it just me? Sometimes i feel like its just me because if all humans hated the 5 day work week so much why we Hasn’t it changed to 4 days?
But i also noticed a lot of people at work will call out at least once a week because im betting they can’t handle the 5 day grind. I noticed in every single department at work there are always employees that call out at least once a week. When they come back to work after their one day off they look refreshed and energetic. So we all now the 5 day work weeks sucks so why hasn’t it gone down to 4 days?
