I am in Idaho, in a state with very poor workers rights laws. I have attempted to organize my workplace a few times, but people are scared that if they do HR will just let them go since this state is right to work and has no protections for workers. How can I help convince people that this is the best move for everyone?
The other issue is that unions here have very little power, my father attempted to join one in his industry (construction) and said that in comparison to the one he was apart of in California, this one felt more like an employment agency that gave out jobs but didn't have any benefits or collective bargaining power at all, and he feels this is how most unions here operate.
