My company has terrible pay. It isn’t a livable wage and I can’t afford an apartment by myself, let alone even 2 people. Currently live with three people in a 2 bedroom. This job requires a degree, yet the pay is terrible.
Before you even think about saying, “maybe you should’ve gone to school for something that pays better” or “maybe you should quit”, I’m not the problem. The problem is this corporation and the system. Also, I’m trying to find another job but it’s incredibly hard. In fact, I’ve been trying for a year.
Now that we have that out of the way, how do I unionize? It’s a smaller company that’s family owned with about 100 employees. Is it harder to unionize family companies? How do I even start this?
