I work for a small company and have always received my pay via check, no pay stubs. It’s either that or Cash App. Ive recently asked for a copy of my pay stubs. Is there a way to confirm that what they provide is accurate?
Recently things have come to light that they might be doing shady things. It’s mainly 1099 employees in the company. There should be one other W-2 employee and that’s it. But that would be finance department.
I just don’t want to be hit at tax season with a side blow of massive taxes due. But I also don’t want to outright ask in fear they will attempt to retaliate in some way
