This year, lots of local holidays were gobbled up by Sundays. So one morning me and some other guys were discussing this in office and I loudly said that the office should compensate, give a few leaves for those that are wasted.
The HR was nearby, she instantly fired up and jumped on me. She positively shouted that I was doing “groupism” and this is unionism and I cannot say certain things in office and I should be old enough to understand that.
I replied hotly that free speech is a basic right and nobody has the right to control what I can say or not.
She went to the boss and so far nothing has happened.
Was she right, and am I the asshole?
