Hi all, I recently (Oct ‘21) joined a law firm as admin, gaining access to medical records for RTA claims. I’ve become pregnant in December/January and have suffered with major HG, and so by advice of my doctor, took some time off. I was off sick between mid Feb and remain until early April. I’ve received my payslip including SSP, as I’m not entitled to regular pay, but noticed a large chunk deducted, leaving me with £150 to last me through the month. When I asked HR,
I was told the chunk was deducted to cover 6 days sick leave that exceeded my 5 days contractual sick leave. I’ve provided a sick note from my GP since the very first day I was off sick.. is this normal or should I be taking further action?!
