He got hired at a national distributor, brand new warehouse that’s <5 minutes away. $20 for warehouse work which was much more than his last shitty company paid. So we get excited for medical and dental after 30 days and signed up for the ‘value HSA’ as that was the only option allowed. They offer a PPO but for whatever reason we could not select it. $7000 deductible. Was told there are paid holidays, and there’s only 2! Xmas and thanksgiving. Well it’s still super close and gas is expensive so at least it’s a 5 day week…. No??
Guess who had mandatory OT over the whole holiday weekend? Yeah. He’s waiting the 90 days to get the full sign on bonus and maybe re-evaluate.
Even better, they have HR in house with locks on that section so employees can’t walk in to ask any questions. Now that the 2nd car broke down and we can’t afford to fix it, he can just up and leave.
