I'm just pondering some options. These numbers and details aren't accurate as I'm trying to retain a little bit of privacy. But here goes:
Say I'm 44, no kids, no current debt after finally paying it off. I've been saving and investing since I've had a paper route at 10 years old. Say I have a hypothetical 380k set aside.
I'm very much open and even strongly wanting to leave the U.S. for somewhere in SE Asia or Latin America. I am very open to living a simple life as long as I have, a simple roof over my head, enough outdoor stuff to do in a decent setting and I enjoy good but simple food.
Could I retire? Where? What would it look like? I have considered these questions many times and have analyzed the details but I'm asking them here because it is highly likely I have overlooked some ideas and aspects, both favorable and unfavorable to my goals.
