It’s a cannabis processing lab. Between three employees, not a single one of us makes a livable wage. Rent is late, my fridge is empty.. Meanwhile we are handling ethanol, extreme heat and cold, $250,000+ machines, and breathing in all sorts of hazardous shit. (We ventilate and use respiratory devices but it still sucks)
I’m only doing this gig under the promise of an eventual management position and a salary. The way my boss tells it, the former GM ran the company into the red, and now we are all here taking a low wage until profits show back up. Thing is, I don’t give a damn if it’s tanking or booming- I think it’s irrelevant to what they ought to be paying me.
I applied for section 8 housing last week for fucks sake. Something has got to give. I guess it just won’t be payroll.
