I actually liked my job…. fuck them.

So I was a automotive Technician at Walmart. It was far from perfect but I liked my coworkers. My boss was completely incompetent but nice. Pey was low for what we did at $17.20 an hour but like I said I liked the job. When I was hired I explained I have ADHD In fact I had to conscientiousshow my prescription because I popped hot on the drug test. Which is funny because I was one of the few non stoners in the shop. Anyway. I told them about my ADHD. I told them that I have problems with forgetfulness of my meds. They had seen it happen while I worked there.

I also told them I could only legally take my needs one a day and they may about 8-10 hours.

I was one of two guys conscientious enough to clean up at night. I consistently went above and beyond for customers.

Anyway, we were constantly short stages and often had to work past our shifts, and last the effectiveness of my medicine. I did not mind staying but I did constantly remind them I'd be off my mess before it was over.

The night in question it was me and one other guy. He was on tires and I was alone in oil changes. Company policy is oil changes take two people. That didn't happen. So I'm rushing vehicles by myself off my meds. Not the first time.

Anyway, I finish an Infinity and don't know how to reset the oil light. I drive it to the parking lot and look up how to reset it. I reset it, get out of the car and forget to put it in park. It rolls back and his another car.

I write an incident report. No problem. Two months pass. Working great. No other problems. I get called into the office two months later and told after an investigation they are letting me go. No one talked to me first or anything.

Fuck Walmart… makes me so much less likely to care about my next job also.
