Some back story: I got this job because my gf's mom is a manager at this store and it was super easy to get because of that. I am also only doing this during the summer to help pay for college. I work nights (11-7) and was getting paid a good amount.
Recently I found out that I was getting paid more than my other coworkers (like 4 more dollars an hour). I found out because one of the night crew said that they make x amount and I was no we make more than that now and that is how they found out. I had no idea that they were getting paid less and it is wrong that they were especially since we were doing the exact same thing. Fast forward a few days and management finds out that I make more because the other workers complained which should be a good thing. However, management was upset with me ( found out through gf) because I shouldn't be talking about my pay and it was a dumb decision to do that. This made me very angry as ik I am well within my right to talk about my pay with other coworkers. Also I did the RIGHT thing, how is it better if I were to hide the fact I make more than them and they get paid less than me that is just wrong and honestly disgusting. I also know other people here that have gotten screwed over with their pay. They also haven't paid the difference to the night crew. So yea I put my two weeks notice in and then I go back to school. I'll post an update if anything else happens.
