I am schizophrenic. I want to inform HR of my disability for some accommodations. How likely am I to be discriminated?

Hi, I just started working for this local business (they have 3 total locations in the state) and the higher-ups seem to all know each other since they started the business. One woman runs HR. I am diagnosed schizophrenic and wanted to get some accommodations to make work more tolerable. The place seems chill so far but I’m paranoid (shocker) that if I inform HR of my disability they’ll fire me, if not, than just tell everyone I work with my disability or treat me worse. Antiwork seems to keep it real with these things so I’m wondering how likely it is to happen. Then what to do if it does, in order to be prepared.
