Please no Phone Support…

Hey y’all, I just ended a temporary assignment contract for my remote job. I was luckily able to stick with the company, but was shuffled onto another contract that, unfortunately, requires me to answer inbound phone calls. I got very lucky on the previous contract, due to the fact it was SOLELY email/chat support. I hate talking to people on the phone, even friends, so I’m not sure how good of a fit this will be.

Beyond paying the bills that is.

My previous contract allowed me to use the restroom frequently as I suffer from IBS. I’m just concerned this isn’t going to work, so I want to start exploring other options before I start “phoning” it in.

I’m planning on reaching out to my supervisor and see if there are any alternative openings before I get too far into training, but if not, how can I find a remote job that doesn’t require phones? Every search I do seems to require phone support.

My WPM is 100+ and I’m pretty savvy with technology. My average handle time was only 30% of the companies’ average (meaning I was 3x more efficient than my teammates) so I can definitely handle it, and am even more efficient off-phones. I’m also interested in moving up into a trainer/supervisor position as this would at least insulate me from call queues.

I appreciate any insight or suggestions for this job hunt. Ideally any work not on phones would be good. I’m a perfect world, I would work on project-based terms instead of at the whim of a customer/email/chat queue. What should I look for?

TL;DR Looking for a job that I don’t have to speak to customer’s, ideally not even deal with them. What do I look for?
