I've worked in a ton of small family businesses and it's really wearing on me.

I can't talk honestly with my coworkers about anything, because alot of them are just spys for their parrents/bosses.

Along with three, chain of command is maddeningly fuzzy which gets me in awkward situations. The wife of the boss told me to do something different then the boss himself, despite her not technically working here. Do I do it? Do I not? Dose he know she told me something different? Confusion abounds.

They take shit way to personally. Often they own the very capital you use, so if you fuck up its not a simple reprimand. No no, it's a massive fucking deal that you will get chewed tf out for. Since it's a family business they see it as a personal attack on their well-being.
I could go on.
I honestly can't wait to work for a greedy impersonal corporation.
