I found a position I was actually excited for, work from home, in a field I have experience in, ideal hours.
The recruiter and I hit it off immediately, had an excellent interview, emailed back and forth about my availability and other things related to the job.
On thursday she said she would speak with me Sunday (today)
Just to tell me I didn’t get it.
I assume it’s because I was their second choice and they were waiting to hear back from their first, but why fucking lead me on and waste my time, make me actually want this job, to then wait with bated breath for weeks to be told
“Actually we’re going with someone else.”
I’m just exhausted. I don’t know how many more applications I have in me. The mental and physical exhaustion are taking their toll on me.
If any recruiters are lurking here, stop fucking stringing people along if you know you have someone else in mind.
