I am so tired of being in a position where I am paid hourly and evaluated based upon time spent at work. Hundreds (probably thousands at this point) of hours of my life have been spent just waiting for the day to end, with no work to do. I am an adult. I come in and do my job like the good little worker I am, but usually, about 1-2 hours before the work day “ends” I’ve finished the work for the day and I’m just sitting at my desk, wasting time not with my family, not at my house. Also, it’s not like I’m making the company any money just sitting here. I can’t wait until the day when I’ve finished for the day I can just leave.
