This is for a cashier job selling and taking tickets at a restaurant that plays live music. $12.00 an hour:
I applied on indeed, did two assessments and a typing test, did an interview for this job last week, just did another interview today, now I have to fill out the entire application all over again and resubmit my resume through their actual site, and THEN she has several more interviews this week and if she is still interested after THAT I will get a link for a full background check and credit check and if I pass those then HR also has to approve my resume and application and if they do I'll get a call with a start date.
I've already gotten fired before even starting a job at a fast food restaurant because my credit is bad. I'm selling everything I own worth anything to pay bills and take care of my son. Every job I apply for either never responds or has so many hoops to jump through that I end up falling through at least one of them and not getting hired.
How are people surviving? I'm out of things to sell and out of money. Im in school trying to get a better degree to get a better job, but my next stipend isn't for 5 more weeks. I can't sell plasma, my heart condition means I'm barred from it. I have a medically fragile child so I need work from home or part time work. I have someone who is graciously going to watch my son if I get an afternoon job, so I have slightly more availability, but I can't get through the hoops!
