I and a lot of others are getting shafted. should I send this email or can someone help me compose a better one please.

“Frequently asked questions about a Port Superintendent salaries. How much does a Port Superintendent in United States make? The national average salary for a Port Superintendent is $86,889 per year in United States.”  Why has the port gained 7%, (hundreds of millions) and inflation gone up 8.5% did we get a 1.8% annual raise?  A pat on the back and pizza party everyone once in a while is an insult compared to doing the hardest jobs and making our bosses nearly a half a billion in profits. A 6 figure salary isn't asking too much to make this ship run, and I was started being told that my salary was on the low end but “the more you learn, the more you earn”. I haven't seen an increase for stepping up and running ships, or learning to lash, run docks, set up bays for loads, do crane rigging, send out massive amounts of emails to companies, conduct safety inspections nonstop or anything. All that happens is I either get yelled at for when I'm wrong, or sometimes a thumbs up when I do everything right.

If I'm wrong or out of line, I'm sure you'll let me know, but this place brings in a ton of money, and we do a ton of work to make it… And Charleston costs a ton of money to live in. Why can't we be comfortable without having to beg for it.

You can fire people and rehire people, but we both know that takes a ton of time and resources and just makes everyone's lives more miserable. If you could please take the time and consider helping the people who make everyone's lives easier a deal, that would be huge!
