I work as a CNA. They pay $11/hr for assisted living. Nbd. I’m technically overqualified but my friend works there and I needed to get out of these same 4 walls every day. I ALWAYS show up and show out and usually get my raise within 6 months. Not at this place. Was told twice (2 months and 3 months in) I was being put in for a raise $13/hr.
4 months in and I Never saw it. I warned them (I’m incredibly blessed to have a husband who can support us, it’ll be tight, but we can make it) I don’t NEED this job, as of now I’m not taking any extra shifts, working before or after required time, training new employees, nor doing anything outside my job description until I see the raise. And I mean anything!
This morning made six months. They told me that “we’re not the ones who approve it, we only submit a request.” copy that.
I busted my ass and what did I get? I got to put in my resignation, effective immediately.
My friend, whose the nurse, texted me and said “You warned them. They Fucked around and found out!”
And I feel so free right now!
