Started my new job about 3 months ago. I’ve been really sick for the last couple of days so I told myself to finally call in sick and not give into stupid working standard of slowly killing myself.
We have a whole lot of other new people at work and most of them call in sick either every Saturday or like every two weeks.
I’ve been on schedule since the day I started but of course my boss gives me shit for calling in sick this one time.
“We have an important meeting up today”
Yeah well. Where do I care if I am sick? What am I supposed to do? I’m working my ass off doing overtime hours and coming in when the other new people “get sick”.
I simply don’t care about your stupid meeting. My health is more important.
