My work has a lot of problems for being open for a little over a decade. For context we work in a medical clinic with quite a few doctors we medical assistants are assigned to them.
Some of these doctors take a lot of vacations which is fine. But the medical assistants assigned to the doctors are scheduled to be off at the same time they have vacation.
Of course unpaid, and we are on call. Unless we want to use pto.
But then we need to meet a certain amount of hours to maintain benefits.
So instead of saving our earned pto for our own vacations that we want to take on our time, we gotta save it for us to be forced on vacation.
