I work online part-time for a company that is all over the US. I just got a promotion after almost a year of working with them (Yay! …or so I thought.). Turns out that they aren’t actually giving me a raise because the minimum wage where I work is already too high… wtf?? Also, the promotion did come with other non-monetary benefits (better hours, etc) butttt none of those benefits apply during the summer. Yay me.
