I work at a Burger King where on my first day I was given a rulebook and I got to a part where it said they were not required to give us any breaks.
My feet get incredibly sore, my legs start to feel like jelly by the end of my shift not helped by the fact I need to bike there and back. It also makes it so I am exhausted by the end of my shift and start working in a clumsier manner and I cannot physically stop myself from feeling like I'm getting dizzy and constant yawning. It also means I can't eat from ~11am to ~7pm considering transportation times as well, so it's a goodbye to my lunch (although this isn't as big of an issue for me).
I need this job, otherwise I will not be able to eat and pay rent. Otherwise, the job isn't too horrible, I get paid $13/hr (apparently a dollar more than the starting wage?), all the managers are workers are laid back, it's air conditioned, the customers aren't as evil as they were back at McDonald's, they even let us have free drinks upfront and listen to music (albeit not known by inspectors), but I really hate not being able to sit unless it's the bathroom (yes, I do utilize the once a day bathroom visit).
