Luckily, I had only a mild cold and some worsened fatigue. But I also had no expectations on me, no deadlines, no nothing. I worked on long-forgotten projects, I did some DIY, I read a book, I took a breather from my normally fast-paced work life. I caught up on sleep and I dreamt for the first time in years.
Now I realise how poor my work-life balance has been, and how unhappy I am with it. I'm not the problem, the paradigm is the problem.
