I went from a customer service role in a call center to a mid level position where I am actively pushing and fighting to get the entry level positions a pay raise to be competitive. I am very vocal about this. Last month the COLA raises went out and everyone in my company got one but me. My boss told me it was because I changed positions and got a $1 raise by doing so already. I’m frustrated because I heard from my immediate supervisor that the executives told them I was a “troublemaker” because in my previous position I used to argue for higher wages all the time. Now that I’m somewhere in the company where I can try to get people better wages I really think I’m being punished for fighting for my coworkers.
