We have to call in when running late. I've never actually ran late, but I sometimes will call *just in case* I'm late. Fuck me for caring about others.
During this particular phone call, I noted that it was dangerous for me to stay on the phone and wait for the supervisor to speak to me. The person on the other line said that it was fine and that they would tell the supervisor.
The head supervisor called me today and asked me if I knew if it was against protocol. I said I did. I told them that I felt it was unsafe to use my cellphone and drive. They asked me several times for a solution to their problem and I told them that I couldn't think one at the time. However, I would research it and get back to them.
The bossman also attempted to frame the phone call conversation as if I hung up on the other person on the line. The person I was speaking to actually said they would handle it and ended the phone call.

After my heart stopped beating in my chest quite so hard, I sent a text message back.
I explained why I felt that it wasn't safe, why using the phone while driving was illegal in that state according to *the law*, and suggested a possible solution.

Do you all have any solutions to calling in and not using a cell phone while driving? lol
