Hi! I just needed to rant and maybe someone has advice for me. I posted this on r/legaladvice aswell. I started this new job in a factory (might be worth noting I'm a very short petite woman, Incase this is a
gender thing.) During orientation I told the teacher that I have scoliosis, she said “that's not a problem,we'll find a spot for you” great, dandy I'Il love this job right?
Well, after a week of working in the factory and mentioning once my back hurt (keep in mind I broke my foot and was in a cast for 6 months, obviously going back to work after laying in bed unable to move for 6 months you're gonna be sore.) The safety manager at this job told me to come in later the next day to talk to
hr, she tells me to fill out a disability claim and I can come back. I confirmed with her many many times that
I'd still have my job after all this is complete. So I completed it, I did everything I had to do down to the last dot on an “I”. Got ahold of everyone I could, went back into the shop and talked to the people I was
supposed too. A week, two weeks,a month goes by. I'm finally able to get ahold of someone and make some kind of progress. I explained to this person that I am not disabled and I shouldn't have to be doing this. I just want to go back to work. He tells me “if you don't have any permanent disabilities, you don't have to do any of
this” so I went through the whole process and was out of work for A MONTH for nothing. He tells me I can
come back on Monday after he figures some stuff out. It's now Wednesday and I haven't got any response
from anyone, after reaching out multiple times after 4 days. I don't know where to go from here. They have me stuck at a a stand still and I can't get anyone to
communicate with me! This isn't just your basic minimum wage job or id just quit. This is a massive company and I make $25 an hour, you can't just drop that.
