Antiwork

I don’t hate work. I hate how much we have to do.

Most of us are making a tenth of what we add in value to a company. We should be able to sustain our young, disabled, and elderly with only a fifth of the workforce we currently have. People weren't meant to work a 40 hour week every week and then die. We're supposed to have years of growth, learning, education, and at maximum 30 years of production before taking the rest of our lives off and chilling, pursuing art and entertainment. The young exist to become the next generation, to bring in a future that functions. I don't mind work itself. I just hate that everyone needs to constantly be pushing a side hustle just to exist, with no help from anyone. I hate seeing retirees working at McDonald's and not lounging around surrounded by their loved ones. I hate seeing college students working their ass off just to have Ramen for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I hate seeing new parents falling asleep at work because their newborn is entirely dependant on them 24/7.

It's not meant to be like this. It's not an efficient use of time. It's not respectful of life or freedom. It's a travesty, an insult, a kick in the nads.
