Just what the title says. I don’t understand how my time off works and nobody can explain how and when I accrue vacation/sick time. When I look where I’m supposed to look to see how much time I have, it changes almost randomly I feel every few weeks.
For example I’m pretty sure I had 96 hours of pto left and I checked this morning and I’m down to 80 and I haven’t submitted the time I took yet and since I work through a temp agency there’s no way they would know I took it until I submit it with my time sheet tomorrow.
My sick time, I thought I was supposed to accrue something like 4 hours a period (a day a month) but somehow I have 13 hours. It just doesn’t make any sense.
I’ve emailed my boss and I’ve emailed my contact in the temp agency and I’ve spoken to HR and all I got back was I should keep better track myself. But how do I do that? Shouldn’t the website who’s job it is to keep track of my time be doing that? It’s just so confusing and frustrating because I’m going through an intense move right now and I need my pto when I need it and I have no idea how much I have or what to attempt to plan for. I’m just so frustrated and tired and scared that my pto requests will be denied because of the screwy website
