Just got my 2nd ‘thanks but no thanks’ from a company I applied to because my salary expectation was way out of their range.
Both times great companies, said I was a perfect fit, couldn’t wait for me to be on the team…etc.
Then it comes time to talk about salary, and they are trying to start me at 20 percent lower than what I’m currently making.
So, I’m not a match now and they’re going with someone cheaper.
By the way, my current compensation is on par with the market range and cost of living.
I feel so brutalized.
