The timing and circumstances are just way too convenient. There’s lots of pressure on both parties especially the DNC (since they are in charge) to address things like inflation, the great worker shortage, the affordable housing crisis, and the empty promises of student loan forgiveness & marijuana decriminalization. Now instead of actually having to address those things and come up with solutions the main focus of midterms will now be abortion. Workers will be forgotten about because the two parties are too busy playing good cop bad cop and the DNC takes no preventative action to stop things like this happening so they can use them as a wedge/talking point for elections. I am strongly pro choice but it just sucks that this will be the main focus of mid terms now.
