I finally quit my job, and I thank this sub for a lot of it.

It was a combo of this sub, encouragement from friends, and finally being at my limit. I should clarify; I loved the job itself. I found an absolute passion in the industry. But the fact I had to BEG for $15/hr to essentially run every aspect of the store, from ordering product to planning sales, was insanity. After a year of abuse (insane demands, working 80+ hrs per week, ending up in a psych ward from the stress, underpaying my overtime, and worse), I’m finally free. The owners always said “no one wants to work”. No, asshole, no one wants to make you rich off their labor anymore. Every employee quit within the day after I did.
